Ruben Neves is a Portuguese professional soccer player born on 13th March 1997. He plays for English club Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Portugal national team. Neves began his career in Porto FC’s youth academy at the age of 8. He was sent on loan to Padroense FC for one year. He made his senior debut with Porto in August 2014 and went on to become a key figure in the Portuguese side. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers, an EFL Championship club then, in July 2017. By March 2021, Neves had made 100 appearances for the premier league team.
Neves made his international debut with the Portugal under-17 team. He received his first call to the senior team in an upcoming friendly fixture against Luxembourg and Russia. He made the squad to the 2019 UEFA Nations League on home soil and played in the semi-final they won 3-1 against Switzerland.
