RÜFÜS DU SOL Bio
Rüfüs Du Sol, also stylized as RÜFÜS DU SOL, is an Australian indie dance/ house band. The band was formed in 2010 by Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. They were formerly known as RÜFÜS, but they had to change when they started playing in the U.S., as the name was already taken. Their debut album “Atlas” was released in 2014 and it reached number one in the Australian Album Charts, besides being certified platinum. Their second album was also a success, debuting on the top or the Australian Charts in the year of its release, 2016. In 2015, they won Best Dance Release at the ARIAS Award for their single “You Were Right”. They have performed at several festivals like the Electric Forest Festival, the Byron Bay Bluesfest and many others. They are known for paying special attention to their visual aesthetic and in most of their videos, they collaborate with Katzki as director.
