Russell Ira Crowe is an actor, producer, and musician from Australia. He is best known for his roles in the film Gladiator (2000), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor, a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, Empire Award, and a London Film Critics Circle Award, along with ten other nominations. Other notable film performances include Prisoners of the Sun (1990), The Sum of Us (1994), L.A. Confidential (1997), The Insider (1999), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Cinderella Man (2005), American Gangster (2007), The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), Les Miserables (2012), Man of Steel (2013), and Fathers and Daughters (2015).
