Russell Peters was born on September 29, 1970 in Toronto, Ontario. He started performing comedy in the early 1990s and shot to stardom when his 2004 Comedy Now! performance went viral on YouTube. He sold out several shows and set attendance records in Toronto, London, Sydney and Singapore. His first comedy album, Outsourced, aired in 2006. His next release, Red, White and Brown, released in 2008. Since then, he has released an autobiography and toured around the world.
