Russell Wilson Bio
Russell Wilson is an American professional football player born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 29, 1988. He is currently a quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia. He went on to play college football for North Carolina State University from 2008 to 2010 and the University of Wisconsin in 2011. In 2012 he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round, 75th overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was signed to a four-year $2.99 million contract with the Seahawks. On September 9, 2012 he made his regular season debut against the Arizona Cardinals. In the 2013 season he became a Super Bowl Champion after the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. In 2014 he signed a four-year extension contract with the Seahawks for $87.6 million, making him the second highest paid player in the NFL. In 2019 he was signed to another four-year extension contract with the Seahawks for $140 million, making him the highest paid player in the NFL. Throughout his career he has played in six Pro Bowls and has started in two Super Bowls, winning one. He holds a number of NFL and Seahawks Records.
