Ryan Gosling is a Canadian actor, musician, film director, and producer. Beginnings in Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club (1993-1995) launched Gosling into the Hollywood spotlight where he starred in a series of television hits like Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1995), and Goosebumps (1996). He starred in a collection of independent films such as The Believer (2001), Murder by Numbers (2002), The Slaughter Rule (2002), and The United States of Leland (2003). Gosling’s performance in 2004’s The Notebook, brought him wider recognition, for which he won a Teen Choice Award and MTV Movie Award. His performance in Half Nelson (2006) earned him an Academy Award nomination. He was twice nominated for Golden Globe Awards for his 2007 performances in Lars and the Real Girl, and Blue Valentine.
