Ryan Tuerck Bio

Ryan Tuerck (born April 10, 1985 in Derry, New Hampshire), popularly known as Hampshaa, is an American professional drifter and social media influencer most renowned for competing in the U.S. Formula Drift series in his Toyota Corolla Hatchback for Rain-X and Nitto Tire.

Tuerck’s love for Extreme Sports began at a young age. He became interested in BMX and Motocross at age 9 and got his first dirt bike in the same year as a gift from his father. By ten years old, Ryan was already racing motocross. At 16, he received his professional license from the American Motocross Association (AMA), and only a year later, Ryan earned the opportunity to race in the professional Canadian Nationals.

After being forced to stop riding due to personal reasons, Ryan’s interest began to drift to cars at 16. Soon, he bought his first car, a 1990 Ford Mustang. He discovered drifting a year later and sold his Mustang for a lighter, and better handling Nissan 240sx. In 2003, Ryan attended his first formal event at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, where he met future “Drift Alliance” teammates Tony Angelo, Chris Forsberg, and Vaughn Gittin Jr.

In 2005, Ryan Competed in Two Rounds or Formula Drift. In 2006, he competed in the entire Formula Drift series. He continued to race and in 2020, joined the Papadakis Racing organization, where he drove the Toyota-backed Rain-X and Nitto Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback. He is sponsored by Rain-X, Nitto Tire, and Toyota Racing.
