Ryan Wallace Zimmerman or ‘Zim’ as he is known by his nickname is an American baseball player. He was born on September 28th, 1984 in Washington DC, North Carolina. Zimmerman is part of the WSH baseball team and plays with other famous players like Juan Soto and Josh Bell.
In 2011, Ryan Zimmerman won an award called Lou Gehrig Memorial Award. This annual award goes to a baseball player who represents the characteristics of Lou Gehrig the best, on and off the field.
Some of his other awards include The Player of the Week Award in 2007. As well as the Golden Glove and Silver Slugger Award in 2009. He won the Silver Slugger award again in 2010. In 2017 he won the award for best comeback player of the year award. This award was chosen by other players.
