Sage Kotsenburg is an American professional snowboarder who was the first person to win the snowboard slopestyle at the Winter Olympic Games. He was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, United States, on July 27, 1993. Sage began his professional career at the age of twelve when he competed in the US Open, and four years later, he made his debut at the Winter X Games where he finished sixth. He has consistently placed in the top 20 of his X Games classifications, and in 2021, he won gold at the World of X Real Snow. Sage starred in the documentary The Eternal Beauty of Snowboarding alongside Gigi Ruf and Jake Welch.
