Samantha Lynne Hanratty (born September 20, 1995 in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA) is an American actress.
Samantha made her TV debut in the soap opera ‘Passions’ in 2005. She appeared in an episode on the sixth season, playing a character named ‘Adele’. She continued to play guest roles in TV series, including ‘Charmed’, ‘Drake & Josh’, and ‘CSI: NY’. She also had a recurring role in the action drama series ‘The Unit’ as well as in the American sitcom ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’.
In 2006, Samantha made her TV film debut with a main role in the television film, ‘Hello Sister, Goodbye Life’. She also played a supporting role in the TV film ‘Stephen King’s Desperation’. In 2006, though uncredited, Samantha appeared in her first feature film, ‘Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’. Directed by Gore Verbinski. The same year, she played another minor role in the film ‘The Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus’. In 2007, she played the younger version of the main character in the supernatural horror film, ‘The Boogeyman 2’.
In 2009, Samantha played her first lead role in the Martha Coolidge movie ‘An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong’. Following the movie, she worked with the Oscar winning director, Robert Zemeckis, in the animated film ‘A Christmas Carol.’ She voiced various characters. She has also starred in other movies including ‘The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone’ (2013), ‘The Christmas Spirit’ (2013), ‘Zoe Gone’ (2014), ‘Mom’s Night Out’ (2014), and ‘Bad Kids of Crestview Academy’ (2017). She also made appearances in TV series including, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘Shameless’.
