Samira Wiley Bio
Samira Wiley was born on April the 15th 1987 and is an American actress and model. Trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Julliard School, her first acting role came in The Sitter where she portrayed Tina, Going on to playing Gina in the television series Unforgettable. Her breakthrough role would then come in 2013 when she was cast as Poussey Washington in Netflix’s hit show Orange Is The New Black where he worked alongside Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon and more.
Once her character’s arc had ended on the hit show, she then went on to play Moira on The Handmaid’s Tale, for which she earned an Emmy nomination. In film she has more recently played the Hacker Kween in the techno-thriller Nerve, and Vanessa in the crime drama Detroit.
