Samantha Bowers (born January 4, 1994), better known as Sammy Rae, is an American singer-songwriter and the frontwoman of the band Sammy Rae & The Friends. In 2018, she released her EP The Good Life.
Sam began creating songs when he was 12 years old, while taking piano lessons and listening to Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and Freddie Mercury on the family stereo. Sam developed a passion of jazz at the age of 16 and began to study the great female vocalists of the century (namely Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Sarah Vaughn) as she began to play original compositions in Connecticut and New Jersey venues.
By the age of 18, she had written and released three LP records.
