Born in July 12, 1956, Sandra Faye Patty or simply known as Sandi Patty is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was discovered by the world when she sang her rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” for the rededication of Statue of Liberty back in 1986. Aside from being a singer, Sandi is an author. She received a Silver Angel Award in 2006 for her book Broken on the Back Row.
As a singer, she received three platinum records, five gold records, four Billboard Music Awards, five Grammys, and 11 million units sold worldwide. She also got a spot in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004. She was also acclaimed as an Indiana Living Legend in 2007. She released over 30 albums.
