Santiago Arias is a professional football player, who was born on January 13th, 1992 in the city of Medellin, in Colombia. In 2013, he made the transition from the centre-back position to the right-back position with the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. Prior to that, he played for Sporting CP for a total of two seasons. Additionally, in 2013, he was chosen to participate in the football competition for the Colombian national team, alongside Jackson Martinez. Additionally, when he was a member of the Colombian national team and took part in the 2014 World Cup, it was his first time competing in the tournament. In July, 2018, he was transferred to the football club Atletico Madrid. Moreover, 2009 marked the year that he first appeared in professional competition with La Equidad.
