Sara Evans Bio

Born on February 5, 1971, in Boonville, Missouri, United States, Sara Lynn Evans is an award-winning American country music singer-songwriter celebrated for her satin contralto and neotraditional country music influences. In her stellar career spanning over more than 2 decades, Evans has released eight studio albums with over 20 singles chartering on Billboard Hot Country Songs. She was born with talent in her bones which surfaced when she started performing with her family's band at the tender age of four. She made her debut in 1997 with Three Chords and the Truth and instantly gained national recognition. Her other notable albums are Born to Fly (2000), Real Fine Place (2005), Stronger (2011), Words (2017), and Copy That (2020), out of which Born to Fly secured 2x-platinum certification with 2 million copies sold. Evans has also made appearances on multiple television programs including Dancing with the Stars, Crossroads, HGTV Design Star, and ABC's musical drama Nashville.
