Sarah Elizabeth Close, better known as Sarah Close, is a British singer and songwriter who was born on April 27, 1995, in Isle of Wight, England. She is a self-taught musician who started to gain popularity in 2009 after she started uploading song covers to YouTube. She currently has over 700k subscribers and among her most famous covers, we can find “Riptide” by Vance Joy, “Habits” by Tove-Lo, and “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift.
At 18 she decided to move to London to pursue a professional career as an authentic artist. In 2017 she released her first original song, which was titled “Caught Up” which ranked top 1 at the UK Official Physical Singles Chart and was part of her eponymous EP. Later that year she released her second single titled “Only You”. She then created her own record label called The Kodiak Club, under which she released her third single “You Say” in 2018. She released her first full-length album in 2020, which was titled And Now, We’re Shining, which ranked number 16 on UK Independent Albums Chart.
