Sarah Harding Bio
Sarah Harding, born Sarah Nicole Hardman on November 17th, 1981 in Berkshire, England is a British singer, songwriter, and actress that came to fame during her run on the show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. She grew up in a musical household and discovered her love of music through her father who was record producer.
In 2002 Sarah auditioned for the show Popstars: The Rivals and joined four other women to form the girl group Girls Aloud. The group’s debut single, “Sound of the Underground,” peaked at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. The group holds the record for the shortest time between formation and achieving a number one single. Sarah and her band mates’ debut album, Sound of the Underground, was released in 2003 and certified platinum in the same year. In 2008 the group released their second album, Out of Control, debuted on the charts at number 1. Girls Aloud hold the records for Most Consecutive Top 10 Entries in the UK by a Female Group and are also the best selling girl group of the 21st century in the UK.
In 2012 Sarah announced work on her own solo album. In 2015 she released her first solo single called “Threads.” She also acted in various movies and TV shows including the 12th season of Celebrity Big Brother.
