Osaretin Osabuohien, popularly known as Sarz, is a Nigerian producer and musician. He was born on March 17, 1989, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
His passion for music began when he was a youngster. Influenced by late-90s American hip-hop artists, Sarz sold his first beat when he was fifteen years old. He launched into the limelight after creating “See Drama” for Nigerian rap pioneer, Lord of Ajasa, in 2007. In 2012, he contributed four songs to the Empire Mates Entertainment compilation album.
Sarz has won several awards. In 2012, he won the Music Producer of the Year Award at the Dynamix Awards. He also won the City People Awards. In 2013, he received nominations for Song of the Year at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, Producer of the Year at South-South Music Awards, and African Producer of the Year SoundCity MVP Awards. Sarz has worked with top artist from Nigeria and beyond, including Wizkid, Reminisce, 2face, Niniola, Lynxx, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Ty Dolla Sign, Tekno, Wale, and Mr Eazi.
