Scott Ronald Dixon, also known as The Iceman, is a professional racing driver born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on July 22, 1980. He began his career in kart racing, winning two championships in the New Zealand Formula Vee series. He also won a championship in the class I Formula Ford Series and a Rookie of the Year award in the Australian Formula Holden Championship.
In 2000, Scott became the youngest driver in history to win the Indy Lights title after winning a championship for PacWest Racing with six wins, seven podium finishes, and one pole position. The following year, he became the youngest-ever winner of a CART race or any major open-wheel race. He won the 2001 CART Rookie of the Year and Jim Clark Trophy.
Scott has the longest tenure as a driver in team history for Chip Ganassi Racing. He is ranked second in the all-time Indycar win list. Scott has won the IndyCar championship six times (2003, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2020). He became a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2019.
