Sean Hayes is an American actor, comedian, and producer born in Chicago, Illinois on June 26, 1970. He is best known for his role as Jack McFarland on the show Will & Grace. After college, he became a music director at the Pheasant Run Theater in St. Charles, Illinois and would practice improv at The Second City in Chicago. In 1995 he moved to Los Angeles and found work performing stand up, working as a stage actor, and doing television commercials. In 1996 he made his debut in film in the movie A&P and continued landing roles in the films Pieces of April, The Cat in the Hat, The Bucket List, Soul Men, The Three Stooges, Hit and Run and more. He made his debut on television in 1996 in the show Silk Stalkings, and has since had roles in the shows Will & Grace, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Campus Ladies, Up All Night, The Miller, Parks and Recreation, Sean Saves the World and others. In 2008 he made his professional stage debut in a production of Damn Yankees and has also had roles in productions of Promises, Promises and An Act of God. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, four Teen Choice Awards and more.
