Sean McVay is an American professional football coach born in Dayton, Ohio on January 24, 1986. He is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. In 2017 he became the youngest head coach in modern NFL history and when the Rams played in Super Bowl LIII he became the youngest coach to coach in a Super Bowl game. McVay played football in high school at Marist School in Brookhaven, Georgia and went on to play college football at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He started his coaching career in 2008 as an assistant wide receivers coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2009 he became the quality control/wide receivers coach for the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. McVay became the assistant tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins in 2010 and in 2011 he was promoted to tight ends coach. In 2014 he was promoted to offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins. In 2017 he was hired to be the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams at 30 years old. McVay was named Coach of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America.
