Sebastian Bach Bio
Sebastian Bach is the vocalist best known for fronting the hair metal band Skid Row throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He takes his stage name from the classical composer Johann. Bach was puttering around with American bands in the early 1980s that disillusioned him, so he moved to Canada on hiatus until the band Skid Row sent him a demo tape and a request for audition. Bach agreed to join the group, and the rest is heavy metal history.
As a fluke of bad timing, Skid Row hit the charts when hair metal acts had only a few more years to live before the onset of Seattle grunge brought the great metal apocalypse. After leaving Skid Row in the mid-1990s, Bach dabbled in a solo career before turning to musical theater, appeared in Broadway stage plays such as “Jekyll & Hyde,” “The Rocky Horror Show,” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Bach has since kept to a solo career, releasing periodic albums and touring in collaboration with artists like Axl Rose and Duff McKagan of Guns ‘n’ Roses and John 5 of Marilyn Manson.
