Josef Straka, better known as Sepp Straka, is an Austrian professional golf player who competes in top international golf tournaments. He was born in Vienna, Austria, on May 1, 1993.
During his amateur tenure, Straka represented Austria alongside his twin brother Sam at the 2011 European Boys' Team Championship, securing a commendable second-place finish. He continued to excel at the University of Georgia, contributing to their golf program from 2011 to 2016. Transitioning to the professional circuit, Straka made his mark on the PGA Tour Canada in 2016 before qualifying for the Web.com Tour in 2017. His breakthrough came with a victory at the Web.com Tour's KC Golf Classic, earning him a coveted PGA Tour card.
In a remarkable journey, Straka's career reached new heights with his historic win at The Honda Classic in February 2022, becoming the first Austrian to triumph on the PGA Tour.
