Seth Rogen Bio

Seth Rogen was born on April 15, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Known for doing stand-up comedy from his earliest years, he came in second place in the 1998 Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest. His television debut came shortly after that in Judd Apatow’s Freaks and Geeks. After several more television projects, he starred in Donnie Darko (2001), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), and The 40-Year Old Virgin (2005).

Rogen’s major breakthrough came as the leading role in the romantic comedy Knocked Up in 2007. He rejoined Apatow for the action comedy Pineapple Express (2008), earning popular and critical acclaim. He provided the voice for Master Mantis in the Dreamworks animated comedy franchise Kung Fu Panda. Rogen and frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg made their joint directorial debut with This Is The End (2013). They later co-wrote and co-directed The Interview (2014). More recently, he portrayed Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak in the 2015 Steve Jobs biopic.
