Severe Torture Bio
Severe Torture is a band from Boxtel, Netherlands. The band was formed in 1997 and its members include vocalist Dennis Schreurs, rhythm guitarist Thijs van Laarhoven, bassist Patrick Boleij, lead guitarist Marvin Vriesde, and drummer Damien Kerpentier. They released their debut EP “Feasting on Blood” in 2000. In February 2001, they went on tour in Europe to promote the album. They were supported by other bands. Two years later, they released their sophomore album “Misanthropic Carnage”.
In 2005, they signed a recording contract with Earache Records. Their third album “Fall of the Despised” arrived in the same year under the record label. In 2006, they went on tour in the United States, where they played at the Maryland Deathfest. The following year, they released their fourth studio album “Sworn Vengeance”. Their fifth album “Slaughtered” was released in 2010 under the Season of Mist.
