Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is a singer, songwriter, and composer born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, on February 26, 1965. He is an alumnus of Government College University, Lahore. He is associated with Virgin Records, Fire Records, Times Music, Sony Music India, Zee Music Company, T-Series, Venus Music, Tips Music, Empire Music, EMI Pakistan, Frequency Media, Sufiscore, and Music Today.
His genres of music include Sufi music, folk, ghazal, and Hindustani classical. He was the lead vocalist of the Pakistani band Fuzon. His discography includes Arshinagar, Kyun Dooriyan, and Tabeer. Shafqat was the theme music composer for the TV series Benaam.
The playback singer has appeared on Dil Dharhakne Ka Sabab, Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, Jodi Breakers, and Love Breakups Zindagi. He has received nominations for his works in I Hate Luv Storys, My Name Is Khan, and Jannat 2. Shafqat won the Best Playback Singer - Male at the 2012 Annual Central European Bollywood Awards for the song Dildara in Ra.One.
