Shamir Bailey, known as Shamir, is an American indie rock/electro pop music singer, songwriter and actor. He was born on the 7th of November, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. He was raised in a family of musicians, and by age 9 he started learning guitar and he began composing his first songs. As a teenager, he formed a punk rock band and performed at local venues alongside them. He also began to record his own tracks, and shortly after graduating from high school, he sent a demo tape to the Godmode label, which signed him in. He released his debut EP “Northtown” mostly featuring electro pop songs, a few months later and it was a total success. In 2013, he formed the duo Anorexia alongside Christina Thompson, and together they released the EP “Bedroom Songs”. Bailey named as his main musical inspiration the punk pop band Vivian Girls. Upon 2017, he had released 3 EPs and 6 studio albums, including “Revelations”, which was a success.
