Shanice Lorraine Wilson was born on May 14, 1973 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. She is best known as Shanice. She is an American singer-songwriter, actress and dancer. Her genres are R&B, urban adult, contemporary soul, and pop. Shanice signed under many labels including A&M (1986–1988), Motown (1991–1995), and LaFace (1997–1999) until signing with Imajah / PlayTyme in 2005.
She has collaborated with other stars such as Tevin Campbell, Al B. Sure!, New Kids on the Block, and Stacy Lattisaw.
At the Golden Lion Awards, Shanice won the Best International Artist. In 1993, she received a nomination for Best R&B Vocal Performance for “I Love Your Smile.” Also in 1993, she received a nomination at the Soul Train Music Awards for Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist.
