Shanola Hampton, born on May the 27th 1977 in New York, is an American actress, holding training from Winthrop University and the University of Illinois, her career began in 2001 with a series of guest roles in Reba, Popular, Strong Medicine and Scrubs. Hampton also had a role as Charlotte in the film, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green.
Best known for her work in television, she had her first recurring role in the comedy-drama Related, where she played Flash, then going on to work in Miami Medical as Dr Graceffa, before her breakthrough role in the hit series, Shameless, playing Veronica Fisher from 2011 onwards, appearing alongside a large ensemble cast, including William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum and Justin Chatwin.
