Shaquem Alphonso Griffin is a professional NFL player born on July 20, 1995, in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA. He was selected as the 141st pick in the fifth round of the NFL Draft in 2018 by the Seattle Seahawks. He played at St. Petersburg's Lakewood High School and the University of Central Florida. He signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2021.
In 2018, he was named as part of the American Athletic Conference Fifth Anniversary Team. The same year, he won the Peach Bowl Defensive MVP. His accolades include First-team All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) linebacker (2016, 2017), Senior CLASS Award (2017), Second-team All-American (2017), NCAA Inspiration Award (2019), and Sports Emmy Award (2019). In addition, he was the winner of the NFL Game Changer, Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year, and AAC Defensive Player of the Year Awards.
