Shaquill Griffin Bio
Shaquill Griffin was born on 20 July 1995 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Shaquill is an American football cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League(NFL). He started his career in high school where he played football.
As a freshman, Shaquill recorded six total tackles and one pass defense in four games. As a sophomore, Shaquill recorded 15 total tackles and an interception in six games. As a junior, he recorded 43 total tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown (against Temple), and 11 passes defensed in 11 games. As a senior, he recorded 49 total tackles, four interceptions (one against Tulane returned for a touchdown), 15 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.
In 2017, Seattle Seahawks drafted Shaquill Griffin in the third round (90th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. After this, the Seattle Seahawks and Shaquill had a four-year contract. Shaquill made his professional season debut in the Seattle Seahawks' season-opener at the Green Bay Packers where he played exquisitely.
He signed a three-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. He won Pro Bowl in 2019 and Second-team All-AAC in 2016. As at 2021, his Career NFL statistics was Total tackles (298), Sacks (1.0), Forced fumbles (1), Pass deflections (55) and Interceptions (6).
