Sharon Leal is an American film, television, and theatre actress and singer born October 17, 1972, in Tucson, Arizona, U.S. Leal started her career with her performance as Dahlia Crede in the CBS daytime series Guiding Light. After that, Leal became part of the Broadway company of Rent, a rock musical, and she soon got a role of Mimi for the San Francisco part of its first national tour. In 1999, Leal was part of the original cast of the Off-Broadway musical Bright Lights, Big City where her co-stars were prominent Hollywood actors Jesse L. Martin and Patrick Wilson. In the 2000s, Leal was part of several films, television, and theatre projects featuring big movie celebrities. Her television appearances include the TV series Boston Public and the drama series LAX. In the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls, Leale appeared as Michelle Morris, co-starring Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy, and Jamie Foxx. Her other movie appearances include Little Murder (2011), 1982 (2013), Addicted (2014), and Shot (2017).
