Shaun T Bio
Shaun Thompson, also known as Shaun T, is an American fitness celebrity, dancer, and choreographer born in Camden, New Jersey in 1978. As a teenager, he moved with his grandparents and later attended Rowan University in Glassboro, where he studied health and exercise science. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a dancing career. In 2006 he became a backup dancer for Mariah Carey and became a trainer for the Beachbody network, after working as a trainer for the Equinox gym franchise. A year later he released his first DVD workout program “Hip Hop Abs” with the company and started a successful series of DVD’s which stood out due to Shaun’s motivational abilities. While living in Los Angeles, Thompson also joined the cast of the musicals “The Ten Commandments” starring Val Kilmer, and “Pippin,” and has made TV appearances for the series “Six Feet Under,” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” As a choreographer, he has worked with Aaron and Nick Carter, the NCAA, and the Garden State Dance Festival.
