Shawn Ellington Bio
Shawn Ellington (born November 15, 1977 in Merced, California) is a street racer and TV Personality most renowned for appearing on the Discovery channel reality show called Street Outlaws. Shawn is also known by the nickname “Murder Nova” which is also the name of his car.
Shawn had always been interested in cars. His dad, Richard, owned an auto body shop where Shawn would take his first lessons about cars and engines. In 2005, Shawn moved to Oklahoma City, a move which marked a turning point in his career. Shawn first appeared on Street Outlaws in 2013. Soon, he was crowned “King of the Street”. He held the title for three years before being overthrown by Da and Daddy Dave.
When he’s not racing, Shawn works a regular blue collar job in his shop. He owns an automotive shop, Midwest Street Cars, with fellow racer Justin Shearer. They also co-host The Chief and Shawn Show where Shawn and Shearer talk about their life in business & racing.
