His acting Debut was in Zombie Nightmare 1987. He made his feature film directorial debut in 1997 with the family films Address Unknown and Just in Time. He is a producer and director, known for Stranger Things (2016), Real Steel (2011), and the Night at the Museum franchise. Shawn Levy has been a television director of teen dramas, like Nickelodeon's The Secret World of Alex Mack and Animorphs.
Shawn has directed blockbuster movies like Free Guy (2021), The Adam Project (2022), the upcoming Netflix limited series All the Light We Cannot See, and is slated to direct the untitled third Deadpool film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
