She & Him Bio
She & Him are an indie folk duo made of Zooey Deschanel and Matthew Stephen Ward, also called M. Ward, from Portland, Oregon, U.S. Their debut album “Volume One” was released in 2008 through Merge Records. Deschanel was the writer of all the songs on the album. The album was very well received and at the end of the year the duo went on tour. In 2010, they released their second album “Volume Two”, it included the singles “Ridin’ in My Car” feat. Alan G. Anderson and “Gonna Get Along Without You Now” feat. Milton Kellem. The album reached number one on the Irish Independent Albums Chart and on the US Top Alternative Albums. In 2013, the duo released the third album “Volume 3”. The duo was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for their song “So Long”.
