Sheila On 7 Bio
Sheila On 7 (also known as Sheila and SO7) is an Indonesian rock and pop band that was formed on May 6th 1996 in Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The founding members of band include Adam Muhammad Subarkah (bass), Akhdiyat Duta Modjo (vocals), Anton Widiastanto (drum), Eross Candra (guitar, piano, keyboards), and Saktia Sakti Ari Seno (guitar). The band was initially named Sheila taken from the Celtics which means Musical. On 7 was added much later according to the 7 major scale of gamut. The band issued their debut album Sheila on 7 in 1999 under the Sony label. The album was ranked #33 by Rolling Stone Indonesia on The 150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time. The songs Dan and Melompat Lebih Tinggi were listed #29 and #147 on The 150 Greatest Indonesian Songs of All Time. 2005 saw the release of their Best of Compilation and the next year 507 followed. In 2007, they dropped the compilation Sheila on 7 Karaoke Hits, Vol. 1.
