Shenandoah is an American country music band formed in Muscle Shoals, Alabama in 1984. The members of the band are Marty Raybon on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Jim Seales on lead guitar, Ralph Ezell on bass guitar, Stan Thorn on keyboards, and Mike McGuire on drums. They released their debut studio album in 1987 self-titled Shenandoah and have since released the albums The Road Not Taken, Extra Mile, Long Time Comin’, Under the Kudzu, In the Vicinity of the Heart, Shenandoah Christmas, Shenandoah 2000, Journeys, and Good News Travels Fast. They have also released eight compilation albums and one EP. Shenandoah has had 26 singles chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and have had two albums certified gold by the RIAA. The band has been nominated for several awards and have won a Grammy Award, a Country Music Association Award, and an Academy of Country Music Award.
