Sheryl Kara Sandberg is an American businesswoman and tech executive best known for her time as the Chief Operating Officer of Meta (Facebook). She was born in Washington, D.C., United States, on August 28, 1969.
After graduating from Harvard, Sheryl worked with Google, McKinsey & Company, but she became famous in 2008 when she met Mark Zuckerberg who invited her to serve as Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer. She made a name for herself in the business and tech worlds for her ingenuity which saw her grow every team she took charge of in scale and efficiency.
Sheryl authored the books Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, Originals: How Non-conformists Change the World, and Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy.
