Shiri Freda Appleby is an American actress, director, and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Los Angeles, California, United States, on December 7, 1978.
Shiri began acting in advertisements at the age of four, but she made her official screen acting career in 1985 when she appeared in the TV series Santa Barbara. She became famous in 1999 when she began starring as the protagonist of the drama series Roswell, which also features Jason Behr, Katherine Heigl, Brendan Fehr, and Majandra Delfino, and she has since had recurring roles in the TV series UnREAL, Dating Rules from My Future Self, Chicago Fire, Life Unexpected, and ER.
