Shivendra Mahal (born in Amritsar, Punjab) is an actor and director, known for his role in Hindi and Punjabi television films and serials. He is most renowned for Mahabharat (1988), Pachtawa (1996), and Punjabian Da King (2015).
Mahal started his career in Punjabi cinema with Baghi Soormey in 1993. He went on to act in 11 more films in the 90’s, including Putt Sardaran De, Deson Pardes, and Main Maa Punjab Dee. In 2011, Shivendra starred in four successful Punjabi films directed by Navaniat Singh, Mandeep Kumar, and Anurag Singh, namely Dharti, Mel Karade Rabba, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, and Yaar Anmulle. He continued to act in prominent Punjabi films including Yaraan Naal Baharaan 2, Saadi Wakhri E Shaan, Welcome To Punjab, Punjab Bolda Hai, Tu Mera Bhai Main Tera Bhai, Rangeeley, and Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad, among others.
Apart from his notable film career, Shivendra has also made significant contributions to Hindi television serials, beginning with his dual role as Parshurama and Shiva in the epic show Mahabharat in 1988. He also played the father of the main lead in Meet Mila De Rabba, which aired on Sony TV in 2008-2009.
