Born in 1992, Sho Madjozi (Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif) is a South African rapper from Limpopo, South Africa. Her first single “Huku” was released to her YouTube channel in 2017 and has gained millions of views. The following year she would release her first album, “Limpopo Champions League” to favorable reviews. In 2019, Sho won “Female Artist of the Year” and “Best Newcomer” at the South African Music Awards. She also won the “Best New International Act” at the BET Awards. In her short career, Sho has already been associated with The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Cardi B, and Janelle Monae.
