Shona Bernadette McGarty is an actress and singer born on October 14, 1991, in Barnet, North London, England. She is best known for EastEnders, EastEnders: Last Tango in Walford, and Neighbors 30th Anniversary Tribute: Ramsay Square. She was initially involved in several amateur musical theaters for six years, including Wizard of Oz and Alice and the Wonderland.
In 2012, she performed the song A Change is Gonna Come for Children in Need. She joined 26 other celebrities in 2018 to perform Rock With Rudolph, a song written and produced by Grahame and Jack Corbyn. In 2021, she recorded a cover of The Beatles' classic Let It Be.
Shona portrayed Whitney Dean in EastEnders, a role that earned her a British Soap Award for Best Newcomer in 2009. She has been featured in 12 Again, Pointless Celebrities, MasterChef USA, Bruce's Hall of Fame with Alexander Armstrong, and Strictly Come Dancing. In addition, she starred in What Goes Around, EastEnders: Secrets from the Square, Lauren's Diary, and Children in Need.
