Jorge Siddhartha Gonzalez Ibarra, better known as Siddhartha, is a Mexican rock singer, born on August 25, 1990, in Guadalajara, Mexico. He was known as the drummer of the band Zoé before he turned solo in 2007 and released his debut album, Why You? The album won the Indie-o Music Award for Best Solo Rock Album and earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Vocal Rock Album, along with Andrés Calamaro and Chetes, in 2008.
He released his second album Náufrago in 2011, followed by El Vuelo Del Pez in 2014. His fourth album Únicos came out in 2016 under Sony Music and was produced by Didi Gutman. Siddhartha has worked with musicians like Ana Torroja, and his songs have been included in films like El Brindis, directed by Shai Agosin, and Bajo la Sal, directed by Mario Muñoz.
