Silent Planet Bio
Silent Planet is an American Christian metalcore band formed in Azusa, California in 2009. The members if the band are Garrett Russell on lead vocals, Mitchell Starc on guitars, Thomas Freckleton on bass guitar and keyboards, and Alex Camarena on drums. Their name comes from the novel written by C.S. Lewis titled Out of the Silent Planet. The band is signed to the record label Solid State Records. In 2012 they released their debut EP titled Come Wind, Come Weather and followed it up with their second EP in 2014 titled lastsleep (1944-1946). They released their debut studio album in 2014 titled The Night God Slept and have since released the albums Everything Was Sound and When the End Began. The band’s sound has been described as a fusion of metalcore and progressive metal. They have played with the bands Texas in July, Norma Jean, Gideon, Fit For a King, For Today, Beartooth, Phinehas and others.
