Simon Cowell Bio

Simon Cowell is an English recording executive, television producer and personality. He is best known for being a judge on the show “American Idol”. He was born on the 7th of October, 1959, in Lambeth, London, England. He began his career in music by forming the record label E&S Music in the early 1990s, before forming Fanfare Records. In 2001, he began working as a judge of the series “Pop Idol” created by Simon Fuller. A year later, he became a judge on the first season of “American Idol”. In 2005, he formed the company Syco. In 2004, he was a judge on the British series “The X Factor”, produced by his company, Syco. In 2006, he became the executive producer of “America’s Got Talent” a hugely successful show which drew over 12 million viewers a week.
