Simon Webbe Bio

Simon Webbe (born Simon Solomon Webbe) is an English musician, songwriter, and actor, best known for being a member of the boyband Blue. He has been active in the music industry for 20 years and is currently signed to Innocent Records. He was born on March 30, 1979, in Manchester.

Webbe and the Blue band dropped their debut single, “All Rise” from the “All Rise” album in May 2001, peaking at 4 in the UK Singles Chart. The band’s next top-charting song was “If You Come Back,” which hit number 1. The All Rise album sold over 1.8 million copies in the UK.

Blue’s second album, “One Love” was even more successful. It hit number 1 in the UK, with three top-charting singles – One Love, Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word, U Make Me Wanna. After the release of their third studio album, “Guilty,” the band decided to split due to decreasing popularity.

Webbe launched his solo career in 2005 with “Lay Your hands,” peaking at number 4 in the UK Singles Chart. Webbe followed up with top-charting songs like No Worries, After All This Time (from his first solo album Sanctuary), Coming Around Again (from his second solo album Grace).

After a few years, Webbe joined the Blue band again after they announced the release of their fourth album. The reunion didn’t affect Webbe’s solo career.
