Simone Missick is an American TV and movie actress born on January 19, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan. Simone made her acting debut in the movie, “The Epicurean."
She was raised by her parents alongside her two elder siblings, a brother, and a sister. Her mother is a health inspector turned social worker, while the father is a teacher. Simone grew up learning arts and was taught music and sports. She was also active in various sports, such as basketball, tennis, and softball. She graduated with a minor in theater Arts and a major in English language.
Her major movie break came in “Luke Cage and the Defenders,” a Marvel series. She played the role of Misty Knight, a former police officer turned superhero. Although her first movie was “The Epicurean”. She had to wait for a few years to get the next one, “The Road to Sundance '' in 2008.
She married actor Dorian Missick in February 2012. Her husband appeared in movies, such as “Two Weeks Notice," "Number Slevin," "Deliver Us from Evil," and "Annie."
