Sinkane Bio
Sinkane is the stage name of Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, an English-Sudanese musician, singer and music producer. He was born in 1983 in London, before moving to Ohio, U.S. He began his musical career by collaborating with the likes of Caribou, Eleanor Friedberger and Yeasayer, among many others. He began his solo career during the middle 2000s, releasing several EPs and albums displaying his particular blend of free jazz, soul and funk. Gallab is also the Music Director and a member of the Atomic Bomb! Band. The collective includes artists like Amadou and Mariam, Charles Lloyd, Damon Albarn and William Onyeabor among many others. In 2019, he released the acclaimed album “Dépaysé” through City Slang. The album included the single “Everybody” which was a huge success.
