Ski Mask The Slump God Bio
Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne, know better as his stage moniker Ski Mask the Slump God, was born on May 13, 1996 in Broward County, Florida. Ski started rapping around the age of 16 when he was incarcerated in a juvenile detention center. It was here that he met fellow rapper XXXTENTACION. He cites artists Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Nelly, Wu-Tang Clan, Missy Elliott and Ludacris as his major musical influences.
In 2015 Ski Mask joined SoundCloud and began to upload his own solo work. He released the mixtape Drown-in-Designer and amassed 349,000 followers through its success. Along with XXXTENTACION he started a group called Very Rare and another one called Members Only. The tracks “I Like Bricks” and “Kate Moss” received massive plays on SoundCloud and allowed him to go on tour with XXXTENTACION and Desiigner. The song “Catch Me Outside” went viral and secured him millions of plays per week on SoundCloud as a result.
In 2017 Ski Mask released the single “Baby Wipe” on his birthday. It was released as part of a record deal with Republic Records. He also issued his debut mixtape under the label, YouWillRegret, the same year.
